San Francisco 49ers beat Los Angeles Rams in Australia season opener

The San Francisco 49ers opened their 2026 NFL campaign with a 27-7 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday in Australia. Linebacker Fred Warner recorded 11 total tackles and attributed the defensive performance to the preparation led by Morris. Morris was hired by San Francisco after serving as head coach for the Atlanta Falcons, who recently appointed Kevin Stefanski as his replacement. While the 49ers prepare for their next contest, the Atlanta Falcons are scheduled to face the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday. The Rams look to regroup following their initial loss of the season.
