San Jose State fends off Cal Poly in 30-20 football victory

San Jose State secured a 30-20 victory over Cal Poly on Saturday night in San Jose, California. Quarterback Luke Weaver threw three touchdown passes, including two to receiver Carson Clark, to help the Spartans improve their record to 2-1. The game remained tied at 20-20 until early in the fourth quarter when Trajan Sinatra converted a field goal. Cal Poly quarterback Anthony Grigsby threw for 249 yards and one touchdown in the loss. San Jose State hosts Fresno State next Saturday, while Cal Poly prepares to host San Diego.
