Saniya Rivers suffers ankle injury, out against Golden State Valkyries

Saniya Rivers of the Connecticut Sun left the game against the Minnesota Lynx on July 8 after sustaining an ankle injury. She was injured while attempting a layup with 7:16 remaining in the second quarter, landing awkwardly on her left foot. Rivers was seen in pain and was wheeled off the court. Following this incident, she will miss the July 10 game against the Golden State Valkyries. The severity of the injury remains unclear, but she may return by July 22 against the Indiana Fever or possibly after the All-Star break on July 28 against the Washington Mystics.
