Sasha Bulakovski wins NJ's highest honor for team dedication

Sasha Bulakovski, a senior from Ontario, received the Mansfield News Journal Female Scholar-Athlete Award for the 2025-26 season. During the district track and field championships, she prioritized team success over individual accolades, opting to participate in relay events. Bulakovski helped her team secure a repeat victory in the 4x400 state championship and achieve third in the 4x200 relay. Coach Rachel Miller praised Bulakovski’s unselfish approach, noting its long-term impact on the team's culture. Bulakovski also excelled academically, maintaining a GPA of 3.919 throughout high school, earning her the title of Academic All-American from the National High School Coaches Association in 2026.
