Sassuolo signs Esposito from Cagliari for €12m total cost

Sebastiano Esposito has officially joined Sassuolo from Cagliari on a loan deal with an option to buy. The total cost for the transfer could reach €12 million, which includes add-ons. As part of the agreement, Cagliari will receive Riccardo Ciervo on loan from Sassuolo. Esposito had not appeared for Cagliari this summer due to a contract dispute, which led to his absence from pre-season training. The deal allows Cagliari a 15 percent cut of future sales, while needing to pay Inter 40 percent of any profit from this transfer.
