Sassuolo announced the signing of Rafa Obrador on loan from Benfica with an option to buy for €7 million. The 22-year-old defender joins after a stint at Torino. Simultaneously, the club has loaned Agustin Alvarez to Club Atletico Talleres, also with an option to buy at the end of the season. Alvarez, a 25-year-old striker from Uruguay, joined Sassuolo in 2022 but had several loan spells prior to this move. Alberto Aquilani has been appointed as Sassuolo's new coach amid these transactions.
