Sassuolo has joined Torino in pursuing coach Alberto Aquilani, following his successful tenure with Catanzaro. Aquilani led Catanzaro to the promotion play-off final in Serie B but narrowly missed promotion to Monza. With Fabio Grosso set to leave Sassuolo for Fiorentina, the club is now looking for a replacement. Aquilani, who previously played at Sassuolo on loan in 2017, is seen as a top candidate ahead of Ignazio Abate, currently managing Juve Stabia.
