The New York Liberty announced that forward Satou Sabally will miss the remainder of the 2026 WNBA season. The decision follows a concussion sustained during a June 23 game against the Las Vegas Aces after contact with NaLyssa Smith. Although Sabally initially returned to the court in that matchup, she exited shortly after and has not played since. This represents her second significant head injury in a 12-month period, leading medical staff to prioritize her recovery. Consequently, Sabally will also miss the upcoming FIBA World Cup in Berlin. She played 13 games for the Liberty this season, including five starts, before being sidelined.
