Sauce Gardner sues contractor for $1.4 million over renovation deal

Sauce Gardner, a player for the Indianapolis Colts, has filed a lawsuit against Sanborn Construction in Wayne County, Michigan. The suit claims he was misled into purchasing an abandoned apartment building in Detroit for $935,000 with the assurance of renovations that never started. Gardner alleges he paid a $500,000 deposit for the work, but the contractor failed to communicate or commence the project, leading to his lawsuit for both the return of the deposit and additional damages. The renovation deal was highlighted by a YouTube video shortly after Gardner's purchase, but no progress was made on the renovations.
