Schalke 04 prepares to host Bayern Munich at the Veltins-Arena on Saturday in a Bundesliga match. Schalke enters the fixture following a 3-0 loss to Augsburg, which saw Ron Schallenberg receive a red card that results in a two-game suspension. Manager Miron Muslić faces a challenging task as his side seeks its first head-to-head win against Bayern since 2011. Conversely, Bayern maintains a perfect record across three competitions this season, including a 5-1 victory over Stuttgart and a recent 4-0 win against Osnabrück. Midfielder Satoshi Tanaka will likely replace the suspended Schallenberg for the hosts, while Serge Gnabry remains unavailable for Bayern due to an injury. A late decision is expected regarding the participation of Jamal Musiala, who has resumed training after a neurological issue.
- •Schalke lost their season opener 3-0 to Augsburg.
- •Ron Schallenberg is suspended for the match after a red card.
- •Bayern has won all three competitive fixtures this season.
- •Harry Kane scored a brace in Bayern’s recent DFB-Pokal victory.
- •Serge Gnabry remains sidelined for Bayern Munich due to an adductor injury.
