Scotland trails Morocco after early goal in World Cup match
Summary

Scotland faced Morocco in a World Cup match on June 20, 2026, in Foxborough. Morocco took the lead just 70 seconds into the contest with a goal from Ismael Saibari. Despite Scotland's hopes for a knockout tie, they struggled to recover from a shaky start and failed to convert a penalty appeal from Scott McTominay. The match saw Scotland reorganizing their formation and making several player changes but still faced challenges against Morocco's strong attack, particularly from Achraf Hakimi.
