Scott Malone seeks new EFL club after stint at Three Bridges

Defender Scott Malone is training with a Professional Footballers' Association camp for free agents in a bid to secure a return to the EFL. The 35-year-old left-back played last season for Crawley Town but remains without a contract after the two parties failed to reach an agreement this summer. To maintain match fitness, Malone recently joined Isthmian Premier Division club Three Bridges for a brief spell, where he scored an equaliser against Dulwich Hamlet. FA transfer regulations necessitated his departure from the non-League side to ensure he remains eligible to sign with a professional club outside of the standard transfer window. Malone maintains he can still contribute at the League Two level and has expressed an interest in returning to Crawley Town should an offer arise. He is currently waiting for prospective clubs to finalize their recruitment plans following the closure of the summer transfer window.
