Scott Pianowski identifies fantasy football impact players for 2026 season

Summary

Yahoo analyst Scott Pianowski released his 2026 fantasy football superlatives on the eve of the NFL season. Jahmyr Gibbs, Derrick Henry, and Colston Loveland were highlighted as top candidates to provide high performance for fantasy rosters. Pianowski identified Parker Washington as a breakout candidate based on his late-season production in 2025, while A.J. Brown emerged as a notable addition for New England following his tenure with Philadelphia. Conversely, concerns were raised regarding Kenneth Walker III, whose draft position in Kansas City may exceed his expected output in a league-average offense. The analysis also noted potential waiver wire contributors like Ray Davis should injuries impact backfield depth charts across the league.
