Scottie Scheffler wins the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup

Scottie Scheffler captured the Tour Championship at East Lake to secure his second career FedEx Cup title. The world number one finished the final round ahead of Viktor Hovland, who entered the day as the leader but finished behind the 30-year-old. This victory marks Scheffler’s 22nd career PGA Tour win and his third tournament title of the current season. Following the victory, Scheffler addressed his tendency to remain hyper-focused during competition, noting that he sometimes feels guilty for failing to acknowledge crowd support while in the zone. Despite 13 top-five finishes during the year, Scheffler stated he felt he played through several frustrating stretches throughout the campaign. He remains the top-ranked player in the world heading into the off-season.
