Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders even International League standings after defeating Rochester Red Wings

The Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders defeated the Rochester Red Wings 4-1 on September 9th, pulling even with their opponent atop the International League standings. Brendan Beck earned the win after tossing 5.1 innings and allowing no runs on three hits with six strikeouts. The RailRiders received home run support from Max Schuemann and Duke Ellis, while Jarred Kelenic added an RBI. In other system news, the Double-A Somerset Patriots lost 4-0 to the Hartford Yard Goats. During that matchup, pitcher Clarke Schmidt made his fourth rehab appearance, tossing a scoreless inning with two strikeouts. The Low-A Tampa Tarpons were idle but are scheduled to resume their Florida State League Division Series in Game 2 today.
