San Diego State University (SDSU) has officially become a member of the Pac-12, marking a significant transition after competing in various conferences, including the Western Athletic Conference and the Mountain West. SDSU’s athletic department, led by Director of Athletics John David Wicker, expressed enthusiasm for the new competitive opportunities. Women’s soccer will debut in the Pac-12 with an exhibition match against USC on August 5 and will open regular-season play against UC San Diego on August 12. The first home conference matches will occur in early October, including football facing Texas State at Snapdragon Stadium on October 3 and women’s soccer hosting Boise State on October 1.
