The Seattle Seahawks activated receiver Irv Charles from injured reserve on Tuesday, allowing him to potentially debut against the Denver Broncos on Thursday night. Charles, acquired from the New York Jets in May, is noted for his strong special teams abilities. His activation comes after a lengthy recovery from a torn ACL suffered in December 2024. Seattle's general manager, John Schneider, highlighted Charles' speed and dominance as a gunner, reinforcing the team's offseason investment in bolstering their punt coverage unit. Charles brings a notable combination of size and experience that the Seahawks hope will pay dividends in the regular season.
