Seahawks add safety D'Anthony Bell to their practice squad

The Seattle Seahawks signed safety D'Anthony Bell to the team's practice squad on Saturday. Bell previously participated in training camp and the preseason with the organization but was released during final roster cuts. The team currently holds three safeties on the active 53-man roster, which includes Julian Love, Ty Okada, and Nick Emmanwori. Emmanwori carries an uncertain status for the upcoming Week 1 game against the New England Patriots. Bell brings prior knowledge of the Seattle defensive scheme, having appeared in 14 games for the franchise last year with two starts. He spent time with the Carolina Panthers after being waived by Seattle in late December. The organization previously awarded Bell a Super Bowl LX ring to acknowledge his contributions to the championship season.
