Seahawks plan to split carries between Jadarian Price and George Holani

The Seattle Seahawks enter the 2026 NFL season with a reshaped backfield following the departure of Kenneth Walker to the Kansas City Chiefs. With Zach Charbonnet sidelined for at least four games, rookie Jadarian Price is expected to serve as the lead running back. However, analysts project that George Holani will receive a significant share of touches, particularly in third-down and obvious passing situations. Holani is viewed as the primary option for pass protection and receiving duties, as Price recorded limited catches during his final collegiate season at Notre Dame. While Price is expected to handle the bulk of carries and goal-line opportunities, the team intends to use a combination of both players to navigate the early weeks of the schedule.
