Seamus Coleman has been left out of the Republic of Ireland squad for upcoming Nations League matches against Kosovo, Israel, and Austria. The 37-year-old former captain, who concluded a 17-year tenure with Everton this summer, decided it was best to sit out as he is currently without a club. Manager Heimir Hallgrimsson expressed hope for Coleman's return in the future, as the player continues to keep fit. In addition to Coleman, Robbie Brady is also absent, and captain Nathan Collins is sidelined with a calf injury. Newly called-up Liam Kitching of Sheffield United will be among the squad heading into matches starting on September 24.
