Sean McCann prepares for Commonwealth Games swim debut in Glasgow

Sean McCann, 21, will represent Team Scotland in aquatics at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow from July 21 to August 2. This marks his debut in the multi-sport event while he sets his sights on the Olympics in 2028. He previously competed at the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad and Tobago, participating in the 400-meter and 1500-meter freestyle finals. McCann, a distance freestyler and chemical engineering student, has focussed on his training since age 11. His family's past has been marked by the 2007 disappearance of his sister, Madeleine, which has kept them in public discussions.
