Sean Payton addresses Broncos' practice fight involving Bo Nix

During practice on August 18, the Denver Broncos experienced a significant altercation that involved quarterback Bo Nix being taken to the ground by players Malcolm Roach and Nik Bonitto. Following the incident, Nix threw an interception, prompting a melee that led to offensive lineman Calvin Throckmorton leaving practice with injuries. Head coach Sean Payton characterized the event as a "tussle," stating no punches were thrown, and emphasized the importance of player safety regarding new officiating measures. Nix, returning from injury, minimized the situation, indicating it was part of the physical nature of football practice. The Broncos are scheduled to host the Green Bay Packers in their upcoming preseason game on August 25.
