Seattle Mariners defeat Texas Rangers 4-3 at T-Mobile Park

The Seattle Mariners defeated the Texas Rangers 4-3 on Wednesday at T-Mobile Park. Jacob deGrom delivered six strong innings for the Rangers, striking out 12 batters while allowing no walks before reaching a pitch count of 92. Texas held a 3-0 lead behind a two-run home run from Joc Pederson and a run scored via small ball tactics. The game shifted in the seventh inning when relief pitcher Jakob Junis failed to retire any of the four batters he faced, allowing the Mariners to erase the deficit. The Rangers were hampered by being thrown out at home plate three times during the contest. Texas will now travel to Arizona to begin a series against the Diamondbacks at Chase Field on Friday.
