SEC officials will work the Michigan and Oklahoma football game in Ann Arbor

An SEC officiating crew is set to work the game between No. 10 Oklahoma and No. 24 Michigan on Saturday, Sept. 12. This assignment follows a contract established in 2014 requiring schools to swap officiating conferences based on the host site. The game comes after Michigan’s controversial 13-12 victory over Western Michigan in Week 1. In that contest, a one-second adjustment to the clock preceded a game-winning 47-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass from Bryce Underwood to JJ Buchanan. The MAC and Western Michigan have since appealed the result to the Football Bowl Subdivision Oversight Committee in an attempt to reverse the outcome. Oklahoma enters the matchup looking to maintain a 2-0 series lead over Michigan after a 24-13 win last season.
