The conflict follows disagreements over the event's scheduling after it was postponed from March in Riyadh due to geopolitical tensions. Fanatics proceeded with the event in Los Angeles on March 21, which resulted in the withdrawal of funding from Saudi officials. The lawsuit remains under seal as it awaits formal acknowledgment from Fanatics. This legal action comes as the Saudi Public Investment Fund is also reconsidering its support for LIV Golf.
