Selwyn Cobbo named RLPA Players’ Recruit of the Year for 2026

Selwyn Cobbo has been recognized as the Rugby League Players Association's Players' Recruit of the Year after a standout season with the Dolphins. Cobbo, who joined the Dolphins from the Brisbane Broncos at the season's start, has scored 18 tries in 19 games and earned a spot in Queensland's State of Origin team. He will play in the Dolphins' preliminary final against the Sydney Roosters on Friday night. Additionally, Raecene McGregor of the Wests Tigers was awarded the Women's RLPA Players' Recruit of the Year, contributing significantly to her team's first NRLW finals appearance.
