Senior Graham Smith leads Watkins Memorial offense in early season football games

Senior captain Graham Smith has emerged as the offensive focal point for Watkins Memorial as the football team navigates a 1-2 start. After opening the season with losses to Worthington Kilbourne and Sheridan, Smith paced the Warriors to a 41-7 victory against Mansfield Senior on September 4. The running back has recorded 349 rushing yards and two touchdowns through three games while mentoring sophomore Xander Matchack and junior Frank Tanzillo in the team's dual-quarterback system. Smith currently leads the team in rushing production and adds value as a receiver and return specialist. Watkins Memorial looks to build on its recent win as the program prepares to host Marietta in its home opener this week.
