Sergio Garcia and Danny Willett miss out on Open championship qualification

Garcia finished seven strokes outside the qualifying spots at West Lancashire, citing illness from food consumed during the event. Willett, three strokes ahead of Garcia, also missed the cut after rounds of 71 and 69. The top five players from each venue secured spots in the major tournament, with Sam Bairstow leading at West Lancashire. James Nicholas topped the standings at Burnham & Berrow, ensuring his participation in the competition, scheduled for July 16-19.
