Sergio Perez reflects on Formula 1 career and his move to Cadillac

Cadillac Formula 1 driver Sergio Perez stated that he regrets not enjoying his earlier years in the sport more due to the extreme pressure to perform. After entering the series with Sauber in 2011 and later moving through McLaren and Force India, Perez spent four years at Red Bull alongside Max Verstappen. He acknowledged that the intensity of the environment at Red Bull, coupled with persistent scrutiny, made it difficult to appreciate his achievements during that period. Following his departure from Red Bull after the 2024 season, Perez joined Cadillac for the current campaign. He is now focused on prioritizing his enjoyment during the remaining stages of his career. Despite reliability challenges for his new team this year, the driver remains committed to his role alongside teammate Valtteri Bottas.
