"We’re expecting Seth Rollins to get back into the mix in WWE soon. Other than some house show appearances on the South American tour, Rollins has been away from the company since closing SummerSlam with Roman Reigns back in early August. But with Money in the Bank next weekend, and Survivor Series a month later and the road to WrestleMania 43 kicking off not long after that, Seth Freakin’ should be on our screens again soon. If you’re an NFL fan or an ESPN watcher, Rollins hasn’t left your screens. He’s part of the regular commentary rotation on the NFL-themed Good Morning Football, and shows up on several of their other popular talk shows that cover more of the sports world. He’s also forged a relationship with Netflix*, serving as a host for their Skyscraper Live special covering Alex Honnold’s ropes-free climb of the Taipei 101 in Taiwan, and part of its coverage team for one of the Christmas Day NFL games — the one pitting Seth’s beloved Chicago Bears against their hated rival the Green Bay Packers. S Rollin’s burgeoning second career is the focus of Richard Deitsch’s profile on Rollins, published today (Oct. 2) by Sports Business Journal. A growing number of media executives believe @WWERollins has a legitimate future in sports TV. NFL Network, ESPN and Netflix continue to expand broadcasting opportunities as the WWE star builds a parallel career in sports media. Deitsch writes: In a nice piece of business, Rollins has a contract with ESPN that includes a set number of on-air appearances between “Good Morning Football,” “First Take,” “Get Up,” “SportsCenter” and other ESPN daily shows. Regarding Seth’s WWE deal, he told Deitsch how much time he’s got left while discussing his future: “Right now, I’ve got three years left on my WWE contract — I’ll be 43 when that’s up. I want to be with WWE as long as I can continue to contribute and feel I’m helping the product, as opposed to taking up space that could be better utilized for younger talent. “When it comes to the sports media side of it, what I will not do is say I’m stopping wrestling and now I’m doing sports media. I want to continue at this game in WWE while also continuing to field offers [in sports media] and see where that goes. Once we get closer to the next contract with WWE, it’ll be like, ‘OK, what does this look like? Is there any interest from an ESPN for a bigger role or something that’s more substantial, something that can provide for me after pro wrestling?’” As of this moment though, he’s glad he doesn’t have to decide. “Right now, I’m very happy where I’m at and that I get to do both.” In the comments below, let us know what you think of Rollins’ dual careers, and where you see him ending up when he leaves full-time performing behind some day. "They were picked by everybody to be the bottom of the barrel in this division."@WWERollins can't stop smiling after the @Browns' win 😁 pic.twitter.com/YkIhDuqF7L — Good Morning Football (@gmfb) October 2, 2026 * Some, maybe most, of the credit for that goes to Rollins’ agent, Bryan Diperstein, who I just recently learned also represents Oba Femi, Trick Williams, and Maxwell Jacob Friedman. ** And I really wonder how that will get handled in the sports talk world is Lopez and WWE ever have a falling out.
