Seth Rollins expresses concern over future WrestleMania main event aspirations

Then Seth Rollins tagged with Cody Rhodes against Roman Reigns and The Rock in Dwayne Johnson’s first — and to date only — pro wrestling match since 2016 to close Saturday night of WrestleMania 40, and wrestled Reigns and CM Punk in the same spot on the following year’s ‘Mania card. It’s not enough to scratch Rollins’ itch to be the best. Seth still wants to close out the whole edition of the Showcase of the Immortals, as Punk did this year after sharing Night one of WrestleMania 41’s main event with Rollins. Any real shot at the spot Punk got went out the window when Rollins was injured at Crown Jewel last October in Australia. He made it back to work with Gunther at WrestleMania 42, but wasn’t back in time to get in the championship mix for the event. Speaking about it during the new season of WWE UnReal on Netflix (all episodes of which are out today, July 21), Seth confessed that makes him wonder if he missed his shot: “In my opinion, I haven’t properly main event-ed WrestleMania. A couple of night ones and the cash-in, yada yada. But for me, being on the marquee and headlining night two, having that is something I’ve always wanted… “I do feel like this was probably the year for it. To know that it’s probably out the window, it’s really difficult to wrap my head around.” Do you think 40-year-old Seth Rollins will ever get his WrestleMania night two main event?
