Seth Rollins takes a break from WWE to focus on personal matters

We haven’t seen Seth Rollins on WWE television dating back to SummerSlam, where he was defeated by Roman Reigns in a world heavyweight championship match and seemingly buried the hatchet with his former Shield stablemate. That put to rest a feud that dated back a number of years, nearly as long as their entire career in the company. The natural question in the wake of such a thing is what’s next? There’s no easy answer to that. WWE, and Rollins himself, it seems, are in no rush to do so either. He was asked by ESPN Chicago if he could tell us when to expect him back on Monday Night Raw and had this to say: “No, I wish I could, honestly. I’ve been off WWE television since SummerSlam. Had a title match with Roman Reigns in Minneapolis, lost that match, and yeah, I’m just taking my time right now, kind of focusing on other things. At the end of the day, I’ll come back when the time’s right.” He has returned to the ring since then, working the South America tour. WWE played coy on his appearance there, downplaying it via social media channels in favor of preserving the moment when he does return to TV. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see. There were rumors he will be back soon, but he seems content to cut it up talking pro football, which he’ll do come Monday in Chicago ahead of his beloved Bears hosting the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.
