There are a number of wrestlers who have been hanging around the mid-card title scene enough that it made it easy for WWE to go with one of Triple H’s favorite booking tropes — a multi-person match for the right to challenge for a championship. In this case, it will be a seven-man Gauntlet match for the right to challenge Penta for his Intercontinental title at SummerSlam, scheduled for Sat., Aug. 1 & Sun., Aug. 2, 2026, at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. You could crown a young star in Evans and start a proper push for the bouncy one, or you could continue Gable’s redemption arc by giving him a big title win, or you could go back to the well and put the strap right back on the capable shoulder of Dirty Dom.
