Sharks sign Libor Hajek, part ways with coach Cody Ward

The San Jose Sharks signed defenseman Libor Hajek to a one-year, two-way contract on July 9, 2026. Hajek joins AHL veteran Roland McKeown, who was also recently signed, as part of the defensive lineup for the upcoming season. The Sharks announced they would not renew the contract of video coach Cody Ward after four years.
