Shaunagh Brown promotes women’s rugby initiative at Medway RFC

Former England rugby player Shaunagh Brown visited Medway RFC in Rochester to support the annual Royal London Championing Women and Girls' Grassroots Rugby Award. Applications are open for clubs to receive a £10,000 prize to enhance their women’s teams. Brown, who started her career at Medway, emphasized the importance of growth in women’s rugby and expressed her ambition for broader acceptance of female players in the sport. She has 30 caps for the England team and played in the final of the 2022 Women's Rugby World Cup.
