Paul Myerberg cited Rutgers’ poor performance in recent years, with a 22-84 record in Big Ten play since joining the conference, as a contributing factor to the stadium's low ranking. However, he pointed out the Scarlet Knights have posted a winning home record in each of the past three seasons. SHI Stadium, which opened in 1994 and underwent a significant renovation in 2009, remains a topic of interest as the season nears.
