Shrewsbury Town signs forward Kian McMahon-Brown from Burnley on loan

Shrewsbury Town completed a season-long loan deal for Burnley forward Kian McMahon-Brown on August 31, 2026. The 18-year-old moves to the club after previously earning academy player of the season honors at Turf Moor. During the previous campaign, he recorded 11 goals for the Burnley Under-21 squad. McMahon-Brown signed a two-year contract with the Championship side earlier this summer and has international experience with the Republic of Ireland Under-17 team. Manager Gavin Cowan noted the player's ability to operate as both a striker and a playmaker. The loan marks the first professional spell away from his parent club for the forward.
