Sian Massey-Ellis retires from officiating to join FA staff

Sian Massey-Ellis has announced her retirement from officiating to take on a new position with the Football Association, starting in September. She will serve as the FA's Senior Manager - Women Referees, focusing on the development of female officials in the sport. Massey-Ellis made history as the second female assistant referee in Premier League history, officiating more than 150 top-flight matches, five Women's FA Cup finals, and participated in two Women's World Cups. Her contributions to refereeing have been recognized with an MBE for her services to football. Chief Refereeing Officer Howard Webb praised her legacy in advancing female officiating.
