Silas Demary Jr. hosts Back to School Bash in Hartford

Silas Demary Jr., a star for UConn men's basketball, hosted his first annual 'Back to School Bash' on August 28 at The Mark Twain House in Hartford. The event supported 500 Hartford students by providing new backpacks, school supplies, and free haircuts in partnership with the Connecticut Foodshare organization. Demary, who recently completed a successful season with the Huskies, expressed gratitude towards Connecticut Foodshare for their support. The SDJ5 Foundation, which organized the bash, continues to accept donations to help local families prepare for the school year.
