Silverstone to host six-hour World Endurance Championship race in 2027

Silverstone will welcome a six-hour race as part of the World Endurance Championship in 2027. Scheduled from April 23-25, it is the third event of the season, alongside iconic races such as the Le Mans 24 Hours. Since the implementation of new 'hypercar' rules in 2021, the championship has attracted notable manufacturers like Ferrari and Toyota. The event marks a return to endurance racing at Silverstone, a renowned venue in motorsport history, which hosted multiple WEC events from 2012 to 2019. Frederic Lequien, CEO of WEC, emphasized the excitement among British fans and the circuit's challenging layout for competitors.
