Sioux Central Wrestling Club moves toward new facility in Sioux Rapids

The Sioux Central Youth Wrestling Club is progressing on the conversion of an old bank building in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, into a wrestling facility. The project began in January following the donation of the Community State Bank location, which was damaged in the 2024 floods. The total cost of the conversion is estimated between $180,000 and $220,000, with approximately $60,000 still needed to complete the project. Major expenses include $10,000 for a safety spring floor and around $50,000 for various wrestling mats. The club aims to have the facility ready for use by the holiday break later this year.
