Six Connecticut teams snap long winless streaks against rivals

In Week 3 of the Connecticut high school football season, six teams ended extended losing streaks against specific opponents. Pomperaug defeated Newtown 24-7, marking their first win since 2011 after 12 consecutive losses. Tolland beat Bloomfield 37-8, also securing their first victory over them since 2011. Branford triumphed 28-21 against Shelton, claiming their first win since 2005. Guilford won 19-0 against Xavier, achieving victory for the first time since 2004. Ludlowe defeated Darien 15-0 for their first win in history against that opponent. Lastly, Law won against West Haven 14-7, breaking a drought that dated back to 1975.
