Sixers face Celtics with depleted roster in preseason matchup

The Philadelphia 76ers are set to host the Boston Celtics on Saturday for a preseason game, but they will be without several key players due to injuries. Anfernee Simons, Adem Bona, Tacko Fall, and Dominick Barlow are all expected to miss the game, and rookie center Ariel Hukporti is also sidelined after a torn Achilles tendon. The Celtics are entering the game at full strength and have yet to play a preseason contest, with their first game scheduled against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday. This matchup marks the first time that Jaylen Brown, recently traded to the 76ers, may face his former team. The Sixers and Celtics will meet again during the regular season on November 10 in South Philadelphia.
