Sixers show interest in free agent John Collins ahead of NBA offseason

The Philadelphia 76ers plan to pursue John Collins as free agency opens on Tuesday. The 76ers, under new President of Basketball Operations Mike Gansey, have the non-taxpayer mid-level exception available and aim to strengthen their roster against the defending champions, the New York Knicks. Collins, who averaged 13.6 points with a 40.6% three-point shooting mark for the Los Angeles Clippers this past season, is also drawing interest from teams like Orlando and San Antonio. The Sixers are expected to offer Collins a four-year, $60 million deal, utilizing their full mid-level exception.
