Slavko Vinčić to officiate World Cup final between Argentina and Spain

FIFA has appointed Slovenia's Slavko Vinčić as the referee for the World Cup final between Argentina and Spain, scheduled for Sunday at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Vinčić, along with assistant referees Tomaž Klančnik and Andraž Kovačič, received the announcement at a ceremony Thursday. The 46-year-old has officiated three games in this tournament, adding to his extensive experience which includes matches in Euro 2020, Euro 2024, and the previous World Cup. Vinčić expressed pride in representing Slovenia at the biggest sporting event and aims to perform well in the final.
