(Photo by Rich Freeda/WWE via Getty Images) | WWE via Getty Images When WWE heads to Kansas City, Missouri next week for Friday Night SmackDown they will do so with a loaded card. It will take place just over one week from Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia but there are still two title matches scheduled for the show. Here’s how the card currently looks: WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. GUNTHER WWE Tag Team Championship: R-Truth & Damian Priest (c) vs. The MFTs Queen of the Ring Semifinal: Liv Morgan vs. Charlotte Flair Number One Contenders Match: Carmelo Hayes vs. Ricky Saints GUNTHER made things interesting when he decided to make Sami Zayn, the last real good guy, the special guest referee for his latest challenge to QB1’s throne. Sami is single handedly making Cody interesting right now, and his addition here adds a ton of intrigue. Meanwhile, the MFTs, despite never doing anything all that interesting, are yet again in the title hunt. We’ll also find out if WWE really does want to continue pushing Liv Morgan to the moon, giving her another accolade by way of a tournament win to crown a new top contender while she’s already champion. It sure would be something. Finally, Trick Williams needs an opponent for Night of Champions, where he will defend his United States title, so Hayes and Saints will square up to figure out which one of them will get the spot. You in on all this?
