Smith Entertainment Group continues construction on Utah practice and arena facilities

Smith Entertainment Group continues construction on two major sports projects in Utah as the NHL and NBA seasons approach. Ryan Smith shared video updates on Monday regarding the new practice facility in Sandy and the ongoing renovations at the Delta Center. The Sandy site, located at The Shops at South Town, will house a 60,000-square-foot sports medicine center and practice courts for the Utah Jazz alongside the Mammoth ice facility. Meanwhile, workers are installing new seats in the upper bowl of the Delta Center as part of a three-summer project to convert the venue for NHL hockey. The arena upgrades are scheduled to be ready by September 26, when the Mammoth host the Colorado Avalanche in a preseason exhibition. Both projects aim to align facilities with professional standards and provide a shared environment for the two teams.
