Sofia Hurley undergoes surgery for ankle injury as prognosis remains unclear

Sydney midfielder Sofia Hurley will have surgery on Tuesday to address a small, displaced ankle fracture suffered during a match against Greater Western Sydney. Coach Colin O’Riordan confirmed that the full extent of the injury won't be known until after the procedure. Hurley was removed from the field during the game, where she had recorded a game-high 25 disposals prior to her injury. O’Riordan mentioned it was a clean break with no syndesmosis damage; however, recovery and potential return date remain uncertain.
