Sofia Rivera prepares for U.S. Junior Girls Championship in North Carolina

Sofia Rivera of St. Augustine begins her quest at the U.S. Junior Girls Championship on July 13 at the Old Chatham Golf Club in Durham, N.C. Rivera qualified for the U.S. Open in June and will aim to place in the top 64 after 36 holes of stroke play to advance to match play, starting July 15. This event marks her second USGA national tournament this summer after previously competing in the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball. Rivera will compete alongside Anna Bell and Adrielle Miller, both coming off recent successes in junior golf.
