Somerset Briar Jumpers and Pulaski County teams finish weekend matches

The Somerset Briar Jumpers fell to Glasgow 4-3 at home Saturday, dropping to a 5-5 season record before their Tuesday trip to Russell County. In other soccer action, the Pulaski County Lady Maroons secured two victories in three matches at the Elizabethtown tournament, including a 5-1 win over Bryan Station and a 2-0 win over North Hardin. The Somerset Lady Jumpers finished their weekend at the September Slam Tournament with a 3-2 record, while the Pulaski County Lady Maroons earned a 3-0 sweep against the East Jessamine Lady Jaguars on Labor Day. Additionally, the Somerset Lady Jumpers lost 1-0 to the East Jessamine Lady Jaguars in a separate Labor Day road match. Somerset and Pulaski County are scheduled to compete against one another in multiple sports this week, including a Tuesday match between the volleyball squads and a rivalry soccer game.
